Guys,
You are too busy trying to be a laserbasher to see what my point was.
My point was I like my Laser to treat periodontal pockets compared to
traditional pocket reduction surgery. In my experience LANAP pocket
reduction has less post operative pain, less post op recession, less
invasive, and give me a result I can sleep very well at night.
However, every perio-case is different, if that there was bunch of
faulty restorative work that needed to be redone, I would not have
attempted LANAP. What kind of tissue response would you get in the
presence of faulty restortive work? I would personally choose
surgical approach that is taught by Dr. Danny Melker " Biological
shaping" that can best restore the dentition. This would allow me the
ability to eliminate cejs, old margins, address caries and VERY
importantly any lack of attached tissue that is important for long
term restorative success. There is no one ideal approach/tool/technic
can be apply to every single case. That is my philosophy for my
patients. LANAP for non-restorative pocket reduction, Simple surgery
for isolated cases-Osseous surgery, regeneration or root coverage,
Perio-restorative will always require surgery. So please don't take my
words out of context, and crucified me for trying something new /
different. Our approach may be different, but our goal is the
same....which I hope is taking care patient the best way we can.
Sincerely..........Albert
