ENAP - '70's - '80's = according to JPERIODONTOL - no better than
scaling and root planing (S/RP)
LNAP - early 21st century - according to JPERIODONTOL - probably NOT as
effective as S/RP
Arestin et al - statistically, but not clinically, significant pocket
reduction as compared to S/RP alone
Oxyfresh - '90's - LOL
PerioProtect - see Oxyfresh above
Evidence based medicine is where we are in 2008. PerioProtect is a
gimmick that is designed to take advantage of patient fears and create a
"profit center" for the under-informed dental practitioner.
