Perioprotect System use Vibramycin syrup and peroxyl gel into the
trays. Time is dependent on the case, (ie. 2x/day for 15 min, 4x/day
15-20 min). It is a simple yet effective treatment for early to mild
periodontal cases. I have seen patients with 4-5 mm pockets become
3mm or less. However I'm not sure S/RP alone can not achieve the same
result.
For patients with 5mm+ pockets. Periolase (LANAP) is what I'll
recommend. I have seen 9mm+ pockets become 3mm or less within one
year. I know S/RP with perioProtect alone will not achieve this
result.
